Rohit Sharma fan breaches security during T20 World Cup, US police does this

India captain Rohit Sharma was left puzzled after a die-hard fan breached the security to touch his feet at the newly constructed Nassau Country International Cricket Stadium in New York. 

The fan ran onto the ground to meet Rohit Sharma mid-match and even hugged him.

But, the US Police sprung into action and apprehended him. The visuals of US Police nabbing the fan left Rohit Sharma stunned who asked them to go easy. However, the cops continued to pin the fan on the ground and handcuffed him.

A video of the whole incident has now been going viral on social media. Desi fans were also left stunned and took to social media to share their views on the behaviour of the US cops.

The fan who breached the field and hugged Rohit Sharma was taken down by the USA police.

“A lot of people may not know this but the way fan was tackled by the cop is considered very polite manner in United States 🇺🇸,” commented a user.

Another user shared, “Abbey this is not subcontinent police. If Rohit interferes with the cops duty, he might get a couple of lafas too 🤦♂️ Lol it's not Wankhede, It's NYPD ! he will surely be in bigger trouble.”

Talking about the game, the Indian team finally got down to action at the T20 World Cup 2024 with a warm-up game against Bangladesh. Star players like Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Suryakumar Yadav struck form in India’s 60-run win over their neighbours.
