Rinku Singh’s ‘reverse six’ leaves Suryakumar Yadav astounded – Watch

After Maxwell’s terrific performance in the third T20I in Guwahati, India bounced back and registered a 20-run victory against Australia in the fourth match at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.

Rinku Singh’s blistering 46 off just 29 balls ensured India’s victory against the Aussies and seal an unassailable lead of 3-1 in the 5-match series. The Kolkata Knight Riders star’s explosive batting was filled with brilliant shots and a reverse shot that has taken social media by storm.

The one that caught the eye of cricket lovers including India captain Suryakumar Yadav was a superb switch-hit off the bowling of Matthew Short.

During the 12th over, Rinku pulled off a perfect switch-hit to score a massive six over third-man. Rinku’s masterclass shot led to celebrations around the stadium. Even India captain Suryakumar Yadav, who is known for playing reverse shots, was left stunned and his expression has been going viral on social media.

Kolkata Knight Riders shared Rinku’s shot and wrote, “Reverse Supla ft. Rinku Singh. Surya approves! 👏”

Rinku blazed away to a 29-ball 46 runs before Australia stopped India at 174 for nine after the visitors opted to bowl first.  In reply, India restricted Australia to 154 for seven in 20 overs as India took an 3-1 lead with a match to go.

Both Axar Patel (3/16) and Ravi Bishnoi (1/17) were magnificent, bowling eight overs for only 33 runs with four scalps to their credit. 

The last T20I match of the series will be played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on December 3, Sunday
