Dhoni graced the engagement ceremony of wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant’s sister recently. He also delivered a humorous speech that had the audience in splits.
Dhoni and Pant share a deep chemistry. It was evident by Pant’s presence during the New Year celebrations with Dhoni’s family in the UAE. The Captain Cool also reciprocated by attending the engagement ceremony of Pant’s sister Sakshi and Ankit Chaudhary.
Dhoni, being a close acquaintance, attended the ceremony. The legendary cricketer was requested to bless the couple and in the process he delivered a speech.
Dhoni’s appearance on the stage and his speech has gone viral over social media platforms within no time. In the video clip, Dhoni was found with his unique style of blessing and leaving the entire audience in fits of laughter.

“They seem very happy. They are very excited. They danced very well. They get along very well, I would like to wish them all the very best for the challenging times ahead. I mean, from a career perspective,” Doni said in his speech.
Dhoni will make a comeback to the cricket field during the upcoming session of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The Captain Cool is most likely to lead the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 2024 edition of the cash-rich League.
