Former India and current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has allegedly taken legal action against his former business associates Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash of Aarka Sports and Management Limited.

The ‘Captain Cool’ has reportedly accused them of deceiving him in a deal related to the establishment of cricket academies. It has allegedly led him to a financial loss of over Rs 15 crore.

By bringing allegation of cheating, Dhoni reportedly filed a criminal case against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash in JM-24 Rajkumar Pandey’s court in October 2023.

As per reports, the court witnessed the proceedings in the case on Friday. It highlighted the intricacies of the alleged breach of agreement. Dhoni and Mihir Diwakar’s agreement in 2017 outlined opening of a cricket academy. However, Diwakar is accused of failing to adhere to the predetermined terms, causing a significant loss estimated at Rs 17 crore for the legendry cricketer.

Mihir Diwakar has allegedly failed to fulfill the agreed-upon conditions, leading to substantial financial losses for the cricket icon.

Despite the legal complicacies, Dhoni remains resolute in his return to competitive cricket. He is most likely to lead CSK in the upcoming edition of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL).
