Mitchell Starc has suddenly become an Internet sensation after getting bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for a whopping amount of Rs 24.75 crore in IPL auction 2024. Meanwhile, the team on their official Instagram account posted a video of Shah Rukh Khan’s Iconic scene from the 2001 Family drama movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham to welcome Starc.
The video is of the iconic entry scene of SRK in K3G when he ran towards his home after deboarding a chopper to meet his family members. In the video, Starc's face has been morphed.

After an eight-year sabbatical, the Australian left-arm fast bowler is set to return to the IPL. Starc also wrote history by becoming the most expensive player in IPL history. 

Starc also broke the record set by Australia captain Pat Cummins, who earlier in the day inked a contract with SRH for Rs 20.5 crore.

The left-arm pacer was last participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2015. In 13 games that season, he claimed an astounding 20 wickets at an economy rate of 6.76 and at an average of 14.55.

Along with Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins, New Zealander all-rounder Daryl Mitchell and West Indies' star player Alzarri Joseph also went for big bucks in the IPL auction which was held in Dubai. 

The Indian Premier League is slated to start on March 22.
