After returning to competitive cricket after 327 days, India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah said that he is fully ready for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 to be played in India.

There was neither a hint of nervousness nor over-excitement, as he will lead India to the first of the three T20I series against Ireland starting from Friday.

Though he missed cricket during his lay-off, he never entertained negative thoughts.

“I never thought that it was all over or it was my dark phase. I was thinking about how to solve the problem that was in front of me,” said Bumrah.

The unorthodox fast bowler confidently stated that he is now in good physical condition and eagerly anticipates returning to the field.

“All good. I am very happy to be back. I have been working very hard at the NCA. It’s been a long road, but my body feels good and looking forward to play some cricket. Feeling good to be back. Need more game time. It will be good fun to play more games, so I am looking forward to it. I am fully ready for the upcoming ODI World Cup to be played in India,” he added.
