Rohit Sharma
Fans across the globe are intrigued by the question whether former Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma will be retained by the franchise or not?
Earlier in the last edition of the cash-rich league, MI had replaced Rohit with star all-rounder Hardik Pandya as the captain of the team.
According to former India player Aakash Chopra, MI will not retain Rohit Sharma for the 2025 season of the mega event. The former India Test opener feels that Rohit might not want to stay with the five-time champions.
“Rohit Sharma will not stay, and his journey with Mumbai Indians is over. I feel he might leave himself,” said Chopra.
“Rohit will not be retained. I don’t have any information with me, but I feel his time is up, and he will be released. There is a possibility that he will not come to the auction table as he could go to another franchise in the trade window,” he added.
Moreover, Chopra hinted that Suryakumar Yadav will turn up for Mumbai Indians in the next season.
“The franchise won’t leave Suryakumar Yadav and the player also won’t leave the franchise,” said Chopra.
