IPL 2024 auction: Rachin Ravindra, Travis Head & Mitchell Starc among 1166 registered cricketers

Many prominent cricketers have been registered for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.

As per reports, a total of 1,166 players have been registered for the IPL 2024 auction as shared by the franchises on Friday. The auction is all set to take place in Dubai on December 19.

However, England speedster Jofra Archer, who was recently released by the Mumbai Indians, has not been enrolled.

The list of players aiming to seal their berths in the 10-team cash-rich league includes top performers from the recently concluded ICC ODI World Cup such as Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra. Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood, who may miss part of the league, has also submitted his name.

Out of the 1,166 players, while 830 are Indian players, 336 are overseas cricketers. Moreover, the list comprises 212 capped players, 909 uncapped players and 45 Associate players.

As many as 18 are capped players among the 830 Indian players registered in the list. They are Varun Aaron, KS Bharat, Kedar Jadhav, Siddarth Kaul, Dhawal Kulkarni, Shivam Mavi, Shahbaz Nadeem, Karun Nair, Manish Pandey, Harshal Patel, Chetan Sakariya, Mandeep Singh, Barinder Sran, Shardul Thakur, Jaydev Unadkat, Hanuma Vihari, Sandeep Warrier, and Umesh Yadav.
