Explosive opener Prabhsimran Singh has cemented his place in the Punjab Kings (PBKS) playing XI after smashing a sensational century against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday. In the process he became the first centurion for PBKS in IPL 2023.

Riding on Prabhsimran’s maiden ton, PBKS scripted an impressive victory over DC who became the first team to bow out of the playoff race in the ongoing IPL.

With his scintillating knock, Prabhsimran has earned plaudits from fans and experts across the globe. Meanwhile, an old video of batting legend Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar talking about the PBKS batting sensation Prabhsimran has resurfaced on the internet.

In the viral video, the legendary batsman has reflected on the batting performance of the youngster during IPL 2020.

“Prabhsimran is one to watch out for. His backlift and bat swing is free flowing. When the ball hits his bat, and the sound it creates is quite amazing,” Sachin said while praising Prabhsimran in the video.

Put into bat first, PBKS rode on the swashbuckling ton of Prabhsimran (103, 65b, 10x4, 6x6) to score 167 for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply, DC were restricted for 136/8 and in the process lost the all-important match by 31 runs.
