Team India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has suffered a hamstring scare on Day four of the first Test match between India and England in Hyderabad.

The veteran all-rounder was seen clutching his hamstring after he got out in the second innings of the game via a run-out.

Injury to in-form Jadja could be a massive set back to Team India in the upcoming matches of the series. India will not get a like-for like replacement for Jadeja. The team management will be forced to bring in Kuldeep Yadav in the second Test.

Jadeja was dismissed by a sensational effort from England skipper Ben Stokes. England captain ran in from mid-on, picked up the ball and threw it into the non-striker’s end when the India all-rounder was trying to steal a run in the 39th over of the Indian second innings. After he was run-out, Jadeja clutched his hamstring and walked off the pitch.

Coming back to the first Test between hosts India and England, the visitors defeated India by 28 runs to get 1-0 lead in the series.
