During Team India’s match against arch-rival Pakistan in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, star batsman Virat Kohli has a chance to create a unique record among Indian batters.

As the highest scorer among Indian batsmen against Pakistan in World Cup, legendary Sachin Tendulkar leads the list with 313 runs in five matches. The Master Blaster has an average of 78.25 and a strike rate of 83.24 including three half-centuries.

Meanwhile, Kohli has also an impressive record against Pakistan in ODI World Cup matches. The star batsman has so far scored 195 runs with an average of 64.33 and a strike rate of 91.03. His record includes one century and one half-century.

To claim the top spot among Indian batters with the most runs in the men’s ODI World Cup against the Green Army, Kohli needs to score 119 runs to surpass Tendulkar.

Kohli is currently in red hot form. Considering his form, it is quite possible that Kohli may surpass Tendulkar’s record in the all-important match.
