Team India skipper Rohit Sharma is known for his breathtaking centuries and unparalleled six-hitting skill. However, Hitman (as Rohit is popularly known) recently found himself in the spotlight for an unusual reason.

In a rare and unseen avatar, Rohit Sharma is captured donning the gloves, showcasing a skill set beyond the boundaries of just wielding the willow. It was a rare picture of Rohit’s earlier career.

While Sharma’s main role in the team has been that of a top-order batsman, his ability to seamlessly transition into the role of a wicketkeeper reflects his skill, flexibility and knowledge in cricket.

The photo in which Rohit was seen standing behind the stumps as a wicketkeeper has gone viral on Instagram.

The rare and unseen photo has garnered around 29,000 likes. Several fans have flooded the comment box with amazing comments.

Responding to the picture, a fan wrote, “Per rohit bhai itna dar kyu re hai.”

“Aisa koi Kam nhi Jo hmare Hitman ne Kiya n ho,” wrote another fan.

In his response to the picture, a third user commented, “Apna hitman hai bhai.”

It’s not just the gloves that Rohit has tried on during his cricketing journey. In the 2009 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), he demonstrated his spin-bowling prowess as well.
