On the occasion of former Team India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh’s birthday on December 12, wishes flew thick and fast across the globe. Yuvi’s the then teammate and former opener Gautam Gambhir also made a birthday message to the stylish left-hander. However, the wish has not gone down well with the fans.

In a tweet, Gambhir called Yuvraj ‘the best white-ball cricketer India has produced’. It was no doubt a wonderful compliment. However, certain fans took exception to it and did not agree with Gambhir’s opinion. They even slammed the former southpaw and termed his opinion as jealousy for great cricketers like MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

As per some of the fans, with almost 10,000 runs across ODIs and T20Is, Yuvraj was easily one of India’s greatest match-winners of all time, but to call him the 'best-ever' is a subject of debate. Indian cricket has produced some of the most majestic cricketers from Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly, Zaheer Khan, Anil Kumble MS Dhoni to Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah. Some of these cricketers have piled on records unheard of.

So, while Yuvraj is certainly one of the best India has produced, to rank him above all is something fans couldn't exactly agree with.

Responding to Gambhir’s tweet, a fan wrote, “I don’t know how this guy lives with so much jealousy deeply ingrained in his heart for likes of Kohli & Dhoni. Never ever seen anyone as jealous as him in my whole life,”

“Tumhari har baat me Jalan hoti hai, aur kuch nahi. Yuvraj might be great, But Kohli is the best,” another fan commented.
