As per the latest ICC rankings, the Indian Men’s Cricket team has achieved No.1 rankings in all formats of international cricket-- Test, ODI and T20 formats.

India claimed the top spot in the latest ICC Test rankings following their emphatic victory against Australia in the first Test match in Nagpur. Thanks to the resounding win, Rohit Sharma and Co are currently sitting pretty at the No.1 spot with 115 points in their kitty. India are four points ahead of the second-placed Australia. England are currently occupying the third spot with 106 points.

After the convincing victory against Australia, Indian spin duo Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja improved their rankings massively with brilliant spells on Nagpur pitch that assisted spin bowling. Both Ashwin and Jadeja took 15 wickets together to torment the Australian batters in the first Test.

Ashwin moved closer to grabbing the top spot in the bowlers’ rankings. He is just 21 points behind Australia skipper Pat Cummins who is leading the spot. Ashwin captured five wickets by giving away 37 runs in the second innings of the Nagpur Test against the Australians.

Due to his brilliant century in the first Test against Australia, India skipper Rohit Sharma moved further in his standing. The right-handed batsman jumped from 10th to the eighth position in the latest ICC rankings.
