Brian Lara thinks this India opener can break all his records

Yashasvi Jaiswal has had a wonderful start to his international career playing for India. The talented left-hander has already grabbed the headlines after scoring 712 runs in the recently concluded test series where India beat England 4-1. 

In IPL 2024, the left-handed Indian opener has also hit a scintillating century against Mumbai Indians in Jaipur. 

Legendary player Brian Lara has made a massive claim on Yashasvi Jaiswal as he feels Jaiswal has a huge chance to break his records. 

"If I feel my records are threatened, Jaiswal has got a very good chance to do so. He has got capabilities, couple of double hundreds already. He is that good," said Lara.

During the record-breaking test series, the 22-year-old player hit two double centuries and three fifties against England where he bagged the Man of the Series award.

In IPL 2024, Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored 320 runs and will play an instrumental role for Rajasthan Royals to win their 2nd IPL title. 

After his consistent run for India, he has been selected in India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 which is set to be played in the West Indies and the USA.
