Punjab Kings captain and veteran cricketer Shikhar Dhawan recently appeared on the Humans of Bombay podcast and spoke at length about his personal and professional life. The star cricketer did not shy away from sharing about her broken marriage, his complicated relationship with his son and many other personal things.

However, it is his tongue-in-cheek moment with anchor Karishma Mehta that is now going viral on social media. Speaking about the ‘law of attraction’, Dhawan made a cheeky pun and left Karishma smiling.

Here’s how the conversation went:

Dhawan: I’m a huge believer in the ‘law of attraction’

Anchor: When it comes to the law of attraction, I am also a huge believer. In fact, yesterday we had a manifestation workshop with a PhD in metaphysical counseling

Dhawan: You attracted me as well

Anchor: I am sure this interview is 100% attracted

Speaking about his son, Dhawan said, “I wish I could hug my son. I write messages to him every day and I don’t know whether he is receiving it. I am a father and I am doing my duty. I miss him, I feel sad but I have learned to live with it.”

He continued, “When I used to visit my son in Australia for a week, he used to meet me only for a few hours. I want to spend quality time with him, want him to sleep in my arms, I want to hug him tight, give him the father’s love he deserves. I haven’t had a word with him for the last 5-6 months.”

The Indian cricketer also spoke about the lessons he learned from Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.
