Rourkela: Six inter-state dacoits, involved in many crimes including a recent bank robbery, were arrested and some arms, ammunition and cash recovered from them here on Tuesday.
The seizure included two country-made pistols, a rivolver, one mauser, 8 rounds of live cartridges, a car, two motorcycles, five mobile phones, Rs 2.59 lakh and 50 gms of golden ornaments, police said.
The gang members were involved in robbery at State Bank of India`s Jarda branch on June 6 from where Rs 5.45 lakh cash and 300 gm gold ornament were looted.
The gang members are facing cases of dacoities, extortion, burglary, murder cases in Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Sundargarh and Rourkela.
