Sahil, accused in murder of 16-year-old girl in Delhi, arrested; BJP calls it Kerala Story reality

Police on Monday caught the accused, Sahil, who brutally murdered a 16-year-old girl in Delhi’s slum cluster in Rohini's Shahbad Dairy area. The whole murder incident has been caught on CCTV.

The accused stabbed the girl more than 20 times before repeatedly hitting her head with a heavy cement slab. The deceased has been identified as Shakshi.

Speaking on the incident, Delhi Police informed that the accused Sahil and the deceased were in a relationship but yesterday they had a quarrel. The deceased was planning to attend the birthday of her friend's son when the accused intercepted her, stabbed her multiple times and hit her with a stone. 

A police official said that the victim was a resident of JJ Colony and was in a relationship with Sahil but they recently had an argument.

"A murder case was reported yesterday in the Shahbad Dairy PS limits. A team has been formed and an investigation is underway. The accused has been identified. We will soon arrest him," Suman Nalwa, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Delhi, told ANI.

Meanwhile, politics has erupted over the brutal murder with the BJP terming the incident as 'Kerala Story reality'.
