Goods train carrying LPG derails in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur

A major accident was averted after two wagons of LPG rake derailed while they were being placed for unloading near Bharat Petroleum Depot in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur district.

The incident happened at the Bharat Petroleum Depot located at Shahpura Bhitoni which is used for stocking petrol, diesel, and gas.

On being informed, Railway officials reached the spot and launched an effort to restore the damaged wagons.

“The two LPG rakes derailed when the goods train was going to empty the rakes inside the factory. The accident happened near the main gate of the Bharat Petroleum unit as the coaches derailed from the track during the process,” a report in Times Now said.

However, there have been no reports of any casualties in the mishap.
