Dearness Allowance hiked by 4 percent for Central govt employees

In good news for central government employees, the Union Cabinet chaired by PM Narendra Modi approved a proposal to release an additional installment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 1.1.2024.

The said installment will represent an increase of 4% over the existing rate of 46% of the Basic Pay/Pension.
