Odisha Governor visits village home of Raj Bhawan employee

Despite being head of the state, Odisha Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal is one of the most humble and down-to-earth persons. He has recently won millions of hearts through his sweet gestures.  He visited the house of a Raj Bhawan employee on Monday in Jajpur district and spent some quality time with her family members.

Sources said the Governor visited the house of Sagarika Behera who hails from Khairabad village under Rasulpur block of the district and works as a nursing officer at Raj Bhawan. 

The Governor was given a warm welcome by the family members of Sagarika. He talked to her family members and had coconut water. That’s not all. He also clicked photos with Sagarika’s family members. The Jajpur district administration has made security arrangement for Governor’s visit. 

Sagarika said, “Going by the protocol the Governor sir was supposed to spend 15 minutes. But he was so appeased with welcome and people present here, he spent extra 15 minutes at my place.  As sir does not like eating too much, we offered him coconut water and dry fruits. He met everyone present at my house starting from a small kid to an elderly person”

“He praised my father like anything before leaving for Raj Bhawan. He said ‘You are lucky and blessed to have daughter like Sagarika.’ Also, he asked my father not to hesitate to express whatever you want. You can reveal it Sagarika and she would convey your wish to me.”

Gopinath Behera, Sagarika’s father said, “Despite being in a respectable position, he has no ego. He spoke to us in Hindi Language. He praised Sagarika like anything .  He behaved like a common man and made us feel comfortable with him.”
