The Odisha government has decided to resume Driving License (DL) skill test in 10 (Covid) ‘B’ category districts, except Puri, from Monday (July 13), informed the State Transport Authority (STA) on Friday.
As per STA, the DL skill test slot bookings in Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Khorda, Kendrapada, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh will be available from tomorrow (July 10).
However, the DL skill test slot booking for the applicants in Puri district will available from11 AM on July 13, 2021. Thereafter, test slots will be opened for booking from 7 AM to 10 PM every day. The DL skill test for Puri will commence from July 14, the STA tweeted.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Driving License and Learner’s License services were suspended across Odisha since April 20, 2021 in view of the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
However, the DL and LL expiring from 18.03.2020 to 30.09.2021 will remain valid till 30.09.2021.
The fees already paid by the applicants for the DL/LL test will remain valid till that period.
“DL skill test slot booking for other 20 'A' category districts were already resumed from 21.06.2021and 05.07.2021 vide this office order No. 6031 dated 17.06.2021 & order No. 6621 dated 01.07.2021 respectively,” STA said.
The DL skill test slot booking for 20 'A' category districts has already resumed from June 22 and July 6, 2021.
Here are the latest instructions issued by STA:
-The applicants must wear masks and follow social distancing norms at the testing centre/office.
- The applicants from containment zones will not be allowed for any test. In case, any such applicant tries to enter DL test centre or office, the matter will be informed to the local Police.
- Applicants are advised not to bring their friends and relatives with them to the test centre/office.
-Applicants with symptomatic sign of COVID-19 are not allowed for the test.
-The resumption of LL test and booking of slots for LL test will be notified later on in respect of all the districts.
-The application for new LL, new DL will be notified later on in respect of all the districts.
-In case of emergent situation due to Covid pandemic leading to shutdown of the office, the test may be cancelled at short notice.
-Applicants are advised not to visit RTO office for any enquiry regarding LL & DL. The VAHAN services, DL services, fitness test for the regions of 'B' category shall resume from July 13, 2021.
-The VAHAN services, DL services, Fitness test have already resumed in other 20 districts of 'A' category.
