Malkangiri: Maoists shot dead a man in Malkangiri district suspecting him to be a police informer, the police said on Monday.

The bullet-riddled body of Bhima Kabasi (24) was found in a forest near Chintalwada village in the Kalimela area this morning, Additional Superintendent of Police U S Das said.

Kabasi and three others had been taken from nearby Pitakonda village to an unknown place by armed Maoists on Saturday night, he said.

Three of them were set free yesterday while Kabasi`s body was found this morning.
