Man held for wife suicide

Tilak Lohar, husband of Riju Lohar, was arrested after his wife allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at their house in labour tenament colony on Monday. Riju, a mother of two children, had left a suicidal note.

Riju`s father Niranjan Sahu had filed a complaint with women`s police station of the city alleging physical and mental torture to his daughter by Tilak forcing her to take the extreme step.

The women police station forwarded Tilak to a local court here which remanded him to jail custody.
