Balasore (Odisha): A man was sentenced to rogorous life imprisonment by a court here for murdering his wife about three years ago.

Sessions Judge V Jayshree yesterday sentenced Lambu Besra (32) to rigorous life imprisonment for causing death to his wife Basanti (27) by beating her with a stick on a family dispute at Nampo village on August 16, 2010.

Lambu tried to dispose of the body secretly, but was arrested after the matter was reported to the police by a village guard, according to the prosecution.
