Badaun (UP): A mob on saturday lynched a person to death and injured other for allegedly stealing a motorcycle in Ughaiti area here, police said.

The accused were trying to elope after allegedly snatching the motorbike of one Nanhu Singh when the villagers caught and beat them up, killing one of the accused Kedari Singh, SSP Manjil Saini said.

Singh was carrying 15 criminal cases on his head, Saini said, adding that the other accused Virendra, nephew of Kedari, was later arrested by police.
