So, here we bring you four basic obedience commands that are very essential and you can train your dogs by just following simple steps.

Sit

Hold a treat and take it close to your dog’s nose so that it can smell it.

Move your hand in the upwards direction and see the dog moving its head in the same direction. At a point of time, the dog will lower it back and come to a sitting position.

Once the dog sits, say “Sit” repeatedly and praise him. Don't forget to give him the treat so that it understands that following the command will help it get a treat.

Up

Once the dog acquires Sit command, now teach him Up.

Ask the dog to sit. Once it follows the command, hold a treat to its nose.

Then move your hand back making the dog to get up and follow the treat.

Once the dog gets up, say 'Up' and repeat the same.

Down

Once you dog starts following sit and up command, it's time to train it the down command.

Ask your dog to sit and hold a treat close to your dog's nose.

Now move your hand downwards until it reaches ground.

The dog head will follow the treat and it will eventually reach the ground.

Now move your hand slowly away from the dog while gently saying 'Down'. Once the dog follows command, praise him with the treat.
