The government fact checking agency, PIB Fact Check has once again busted a fake website whih had been duping aspirants by assuring jobs in the name of the Ministry of Skill Development.

The fact checking agency on Saturday alerted job aspirants against the fake website which was asking for Rs 1,645 as an application fee for recruitment in several government projects.

"A #Fake website 'http://rashtriyaunnatikendra.org' is claiming to be associated with the 'Ministry of Skill Development' and is asking for ₹1645 as an application fee for recruitment in govt. projects. MSDESkillIndia is not linked to this organisation/ website in any way," PIB Fact Check said in a tweet.

Earlier also, the government agency had shared a screenshot of the fake news on its Twitter handle. “A picture claims that the Indian government has given 2 years relaxation in the age limit for the 2022 army recruitment. This claim is fake. There is no such change in the age limit,” it had alerted job seekers.

It is worth mentioning that the Press Information Bureau (PIB) had set up the fact-checking unit in December 2019, to verify news related to the government's ministries, departments and schemes and to alert the public about fake news in circulation.

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry had then urged people to email snapshots of any "dubious material" they come across on any platform including social media and they will get it checked, but added that only material related to government ministries, departments and schemes will be fact-checked.
