Hotel owner shot dead

Titu Gouda (32), owner of a small hotel, at Lathipada village under Sorada police station was shot dead on Friday allegedly by his nephew over a trivial matter.

The other deceased identified as Bijay Das (25) of Khandabandh village under Aska police station was lynched by four persons including three brothers while he was sleeping on the terrace of his house. Das, who had returned from Surat recently, was suspected to have been killed due to love affairs, police said.

The accused persons in both the incidents were absconding and efforts were on to nab them.

In another incident, a person sustained serious injury after being attacked with a sharp weapon at Gopalpur junction here on Friday evening apparently due to previous enmity. The injured, a villager of nearby Dura, was admitted to MKCG Medical College Hospital here.
