Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday raided residences of two government officials for allegedly accumulating wealth disproportionate to their known source of income. The duo have been identified as Bhagyadhar Das who serves as a record room chainman at Cuttack District Collector’s Office in Cuttack and executive officer Liyakat Ali Khan of Parjang block in Dhenkanal district.

The anti-corruption officials have conducted a raid over Das’s residences at Upula near Chatia, Duburu and Joda. The officials are also conducting a search operation at residence of Das’s daughter.

As per reports, the Das’s house at Duburi has been evaluated to be of Rs 80 lakh.

Similar raids are also being conducted over Liyakat Ali Khan’s houses and two NGOs in Dhenkanal, Barua and Phulbani in disproportionate asset case.

According to sources, seven teams of the anti-corruption department are raiding over three locations in Dhenkanal and Barua.
