Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is struggling to retain its popularity among movie lovers across the globe after several projects in a row including Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor Love and Thunder, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels, to name a few, flopped at the box office. Now, the makers are readying to revive their glory with Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

Deadpool 3’s poster featuring Wade Wilson and Wolverine together left the fans overwhelmed and anticipation for the movie is increasing with each passing day. Recently, reports were abuzz that the highly-anticipated MCU movie has wrapped up its filming schedule. Even the movie’s synopsis was released online, raising the excitement among all MCU fans.

While Ryan is all set to revisit his character Wade Wilson once again, Hugh Jackman will join him as Wolverine. This not only acts as Ryan’s introduction to the Avengers-based franchise but also signals the conclusion of his Deadpool trilogy.

As per the synopsis, Ryan’s character is poised to change the course of MCU history, with Wolverine accompanying him. The summary of the synopsis reads: The irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine. (sic)

While fans eagerly await Deadpool 3 and have pinned high hopes on the movie, filmmaker Matthew Vaughn has said that Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are about to save the now-struggling MCU.

Though Vaughn is not directing Deadpool 3, he had previously directed X-Men: First Class’ of the superhero film franchise and apparently has enough information about Deadpool 3.

As per a report in Variety, Vaughn is ready to proclaim that Deadpool 3 will save the whole ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe.’

He was quoted as saying, “The few snippets that I know about Deadpool vs Wolverine or Wolverine Vs Deadpool, are unbelievable. That’s going to be a jolt...the Marvel Universe is about to have a jolt of them and it’s going to bring that body back to life...I think Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are about to save the whole Marvel Universe.”

Further, he added, “I’m a genuine fan of the X-Men, all I want is for the movies to be as good as they should be.”

Jackman’s long-awaited return as Wolverine has genuinely skyrocketed anticipation for Deadpool 3. Moreover, this movie will officially bring Deadpool into the Disney-owned Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time. The movie is slated to hit the theatres on July 26, 2024.  

Notably, the two previous parts of Deadpool, along with the entire ‘X-Men’ franchise, were owned by Fox before Disney acquired the studio in 2019.
