Sonu Nigam is one of the most talented, famous, and melodious singers of Bollywood. He was at the peak of his career for more than two decades. But in the last few years, he has fallen out of the favour of some big production houses which has kept him away from getting songs in big Bollywood movies.

Groups in film industry

It is a true fact that a certain A-listed section of the film industry prefers to give work only to those musicians who are ready to bend at their will. Sonu is known as a fierce and strong-willed person who will never give in to such requests and that is the reason he had a fallout with those who earlier used to give him work. In one of his interviews, the singer even accepted that he even hurt a few with his behaviour when he was at his peak, and that has also gone against him.

His insistence to avoid remixes and do good work

Sonu Nigam is currently at a stage in his career where he has so many big hits to his credit. While initially as a young prodigy, he did sing Rafi’s songs in programs, he has avoided remixes and is against it. Importantly, he is on the lookout for very good work rather than doing average songs in multiples as he is earning quite well singing for live shows across the world.

While he may not be singing much in Bollywood, he continues to sing for regional movies and hence Sonu manages to earn in a big way without compromising.

His feud with T-Series and Divya Kumar Khosla

T-Series is the number one music company in India. It is the same company that gave Sonu a lot of work at the start of his career. But after T-Series started giving more work to the likes of Neha Kakkar, and Tanishk Bagchi, and cornering other established singers, Sonu Nigam called it a music mafia. It did not go well down with Divya Kumar Khosla who is the wife of T-Series owner Bhushan Kumar.

But later on, he returned to record a song for T-Series at the request of Aamir Khan who wanted Sonu to sing for his movie Laal Singh Chaddha.
