Salman Khan and Aamir Khan clashed on sets of Andaz Apna Apna! Here's why

1994 Hindi movie Andaz Apna Apna, starring Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karishma Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, and Paresh Rawal, among others, achieved a cult status over time. But, during its theatrical release, the movie was declared a disaster due to inadequate promotions. Except for a few cities like Bombay (Mumbai), and Bangalore (Bengaluru), the movie didn't work in any other city.

Andaz Apna Apna remains the only movie that starred Salman and Aamir together. Though the Khans-duo share a good bond offscreen, they have never teamed up for a movie. However, did you know, Salman and Aamir clashed on the shooting sets of their only movie?

In the movie, Aamir and Salman played the characters of Amar and Prem. Amar and Prem clashed throughout the movie to win the heart of Raveena. However, not just onscreen, the actors duo had built a strained relationship offscreen as well.

Recently, actor Shehzad Khan, known for his role as Bhalla in the iconic comedy movie, revealed that he witnessed disagreements between Aamir and Salman on multiple occasions. Different work approaches of the actor duo often led to friction. 

During an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Shehzad revealed that he often found himself playing the role of a peacemaker and mediator between Aamir and Salman. 

Shedding light on the reason behind their clash, Shehzad revealed that Aamir, known for his punctuality, arrived at the Madh Island bungalow by 7-7:30 am, while the call time was 9 am. However, Salman arrived on the sets at around 10-11 am citing different issues like car trouble and others.

Shehzad being a childhood friend of Salman always defended him highlighting the difficulties of commuting from Bandra to the set.

However, Shehzad also affirmed that despite the differences in their work approach, both actors delivered exceptional performances, regardless of the number of takes required to achieve perfection. 

Though tension erupted between the duo multiple times, they never confronted each other on sets.

Earlier, Aamir revealed on Karan Johar's talk show that he had a negative experience while working with Salman, finding him rude and inconsiderate, which contributed to their strained relationship during the shooting of Andaz Apna Apna.

Further, Shehzad added that they had a lot of fun on the shooting set, especially when the producer brought home-cooked food. This created a familial atmosphere.

While there seems to be no possibility, fans would certainly love to see Aamir and Salman together onscreen.
