Karan Johar has announced his first action franchise Yodha and Sidharth Malhotra will be the Bollywood star to lead it. The announcement made a day ago has already triggered speculations as to which actress will join Sid as the female lead in this project. Many believe that the movie will feature two leading actresses.
There have been rumours that Dharma Productions have already roped in Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna for these roles. However, nothing official has been declared, and hence everyone is free to speculate about the actresses who might be considered for this first action franchise from Dharma.
Currently, the Southern divas Rashmika Mandanna and Pooja Hegde are ruling the hearts of all young minds. In Bollywood, it is Kiara Advani who has raced ahead of the others after delivering a bit hit like Kabir Singh.
Interestingly, Rashmika and Pooja are tough competitors of each other when it comes to the Southern film industry. And Rashoo is expected to face the same competition from the Housefull 4 actress in Bollywood as the former beauty queen has taken the lead among the entire South Indian actress in the Hindi film industry.
But Rashmika still can have an edge because she has already worked with Sidharth Malhotra in Mission Majnu and fans have loved their pictures together.
One of the reasons why Dharma might think of roping in Southern actresses who also have a good recognition amid Hindi movie watchers is because Yodha is a big franchise and the production house might think of widening its canvas and making it a multilingual franchise.
Both Rashmika and Pooja have a pan India appeal and may just spell magic if paired together opposite Sidharth Malhotra.
Another actress who is a hot favourite of Dharma is none other than Kiara Advani who recently delivered a big hit Shershaah with Sidharth Malhotra. Together they are already considered a hot pair and repeating Sid and Kiara together can guarantee the initial pull that is so essential for a new franchise.
