Nitesh Tiwari's adaptation of Ramayana stands as one of Bollywood's most anticipated projects, stirring fervent anticipation among fans.

With rumours swirling about Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal of Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi's depiction of Goddess Sita, speculation mounts over the remaining cast members.

Amidst the speculation, Lara Dutta's rumoured role as Kaikeyi has captured considerable attention. In an interview with Indian Express, Dutta addressed the rumours with a playful tone, expressing amusement at the ongoing speculation.

"Who wouldn’t want to be a part of Ramayana?" she quipped, fueling excitement further.

Lara also mentioned the other characters she would have loved to play in Ranbir Kapoor starrer if it was offered to her. Naming the characters she laughed and said, “Surpanakha, Mandodari, I am playing them all.”

Meanwhile, after the alleged leak of Ranbir and Sail Pallavi's look from the movie, Nitesh Tiwari has made a decisive move to safeguard the production.

According to a report by Mid-Day, Tiwari has made significant alterations to the filming schedule. The focus will now primarily be on indoor shoots, minimizing the risk of further leaks.

Outdoor filming will be restricted to nighttime for the foreseeable future with additional measures such as hiring private security to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the set remains shielded from paparazzi and eager fans.

"That rule is non-negotiable. The unit will shoot continuously till the rains hit as Nitesh sir wants to complete a chunk by June. The makers are planning to shoot an elaborate portion later this week, which could become the announcement sequence. It is expected to be unveiled in June," revealed a source.

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, the film also features Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and KGF star Yash as Ravana. The first part of the Ramayana trilogy is scheduled to be released around Diwali 2025.
