In the world of showbiz, where fame and fortune often intertwine with mysticism and belief systems, several celebrities have chosen to tweak the spellings of their names for various reasons, ranging from numerology to astrology. While these decisions may seem trivial to some, the altered spellings have proven to be more than mere linguistic changes for many celebs – they have become symbolic of a personal connection to cosmic forces. Below are some stars who have made changes to their names:

Prabhas

Prabhas, the South Indian sensation currently riding high on the success of ‘Salaar,’ recently grabbed headlines for what appeared to be a change in the spelling of his name. Fans speculated that an additional 'a' had been added, making it "Prabhaas." However, the production house clarified it as a printing mistake, asserting that Prabhas had not altered his name. Interestingly, his real name is Uppalapati Venkata Suryanarayana Prabhas Raju, but he opts for the simplified ‘Prabhas’ on screen.

Triptii Dimri

Triptii Dimri, the rising star who became an overnight sensation after playing Zoya in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, initially spelled her name as Tripti Dimri when she began her acting journey with films like ‘Poster Boys’ and ‘Laila Majnu.’ However, as her career gained momentum, she chose to adopt the current spelling, Triptii Dimiri.

Rani Mukerji

Rani Mukerji, the celebrated Bollywood actress, made a subtle change in her surname. Formerly known as Rani Mukherjee, she adjusted the spelling to Mukerji in alignment with numerological principles.

The alteration from Ayushman to Ayushmann reflects this cosmic alignment.

Rajkummar Rao

Rajkummar Rao, the versatile actor who made his debut as Rajkumar Yadav, decided to alter his name to Rajkummar Rao in 2013 due to numerological reasons. The addition of an extra 'm' was at the behest of his mother, and he felt it was prudent to make the change early in his career.

Ajay Devgn

Ajay Devgn, the Bollywood stalwart, modified the spelling of his surname from Devgan to Devgn at the insistence of his family, who believed the change would bring about better health.
