Mithun Chakraborty unwell, rushed to Apollo Hospital’s emergency unit in Kolkata

Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty on Saturday was rushed to the Apollo Hospital due to a medical emergency, reports said. Reportedly, the actor was not feeling well and complained of chest pain following which he had to be taken to Apollo Hospital’s emergency unit in Kolkata.

More details regarding his health complications are still awaited.

In an illustrious journey in the film industry since 1976, Mithun has worked in almost all the film industries and has won several awards. He has been the recipient of several prestigious awards including the National Award.

With several super hit movies, Mithun Chakraborty is known for films like Disco Dancer, Jung, Prem Pratigyaa, Pyar Jhukta Nahin and Mard among others. He was conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award this year.

Worth mentioning, Mithun’s mother passed away in July 2023 in Mumbai. Reports said she had been suffering from geriatric issues for quite some time. His father Basantokumar Chakraborty also passed away in April 2020 at the age of 95 due to kidney failure.

His latest film 'Kabuliwala' has been released in theatres in the US.
