Star batsman KL Rahul is finally going to be a part of the Shetty family. The Indian cricketer is all set to tie the knot with action star Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty today at the actor’s Khandala farmhouse.

The couple is expected to get hitched in the presence of close friends and family members. The stage is all set and celebrations are on for the much-awaited wedding.

Reportedly, the Sangeet ceremony of KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty, who have been dating each other for quite a few years now, took place on Sunday evening. The couple also performed on Suniel Shetty’s hit songs from the 90s including ‘Sheher Ki Ladki’.

Interestingly, this is the same place where Suniel Shetty married Mana in the year 1991.

Yesterday, actor Suniel Shetty talked to the photographers and journalists, stationed outside his farmhouse.

He is heard telling them: “Aa rahe hain hum log. Kal unko leke aata hoon, bachchon ko.”

Earlier, Suniel Shetty had opened up on Athiya and Rahul’s relationship and said, “She is a daughter, she will get married sometime. I’d want my son also to get married. The sooner, the better! But it’s their choice. As far as Rahul is concerned, I love the boy. It’s for them to decide what they want to do because times have changed. I’d like them to take the decision. My blessings are always there.”

According to reports, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty met through common friends in 2019 and hit off quite well. The couple never accepted publicly that they were dating and in a relationship.
