The original chocolate boy of Bollywood Shahid Kapoor needs no introduction. He is among the very few stars who have made it to the top with their own hard work and struggle. With several awards in his kitty, Shahid has proved to be a perfect hero material.

He can dance, fight, romance and at the same time keep the audience hooked with his acting skills. Riding high on the success of ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, the handsome hunk is looking forward to the release of his upcoming action thriller movie ‘Deva’.

His journey from being a background dancer to an A-list star is praiseworthy. Recently, the ‘Fida’ actor was asked about his experience of working as a background dancer behind stars and his answer is worth applauding.

Answering to Neha Dhupia on his journey as background dancer, Shahid Kapoor said, “Yeah, of course. I was also last in the line. When you start with Shaimak, you have to be in the last time.”

He further added, “Forget being behind a star, you are also behind your contemporaries. You have to earn your right to be in the first row. You have to earn your right to be more central as opposed to be in the corner. So, it’s a lot of work and I just love that.”

“I love the fact that every step forward required so much effort and it meant so much. And so, the gratification that you felt when you earned it was so solid. It has to be difficult to get something, otherwise, what’s the point of it.”

“If you start struggling in a BMW and then after becoming a star, you buy another BMW, then what’s the fun of it? You should have travelled in trains, you should have wondered how you were going to get the money for your photoshoot, how will I deck up for meetings, how will you do all these things. That’s real, right?” he concluded.
