Katrina Kaif celebrated her birthday yesterday. It was a big day for her fans and close friends from the industry. Even though the Bollywood beauty was outside Mumbai for a short vacation with hubby Vicky Kaushal, she received a lot of good wishes on social media. Her fans, it seems, were eagerly waiting for her colleagues like Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra Jonas to wish Katrina Kaif on her birthday. But that did not happen.
Interestingly, there was no post even from Farhan and Zoya Akhtar which has got the tongues wagging that all is not well between the former Jee Le Zaraa team.
The movie was all set to bring back Farhan as the director after more than a decade under the production banner of Zoya. It was supposed to be the first all-female-led road trip movie that featured Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Katrina Kaif in the lead.
Even the three leading ladies were elated to be aboard this flick and even posed for a poster for the same. But due to one or the other reasons, the movie could not go on the floors.
Some time ago, Priyanka Chopra Jonas decided to opt out of the movie. PeeCee has been a hot favourite with the Akhtar siblings as she was a part of Farhan’s Don Franchise and also Zoya’s Dil Dhadakne Do. So, that came as a big surprise.
Even Katrina Kaif had worked earlier with Zoya and Farhan in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Ditto with Alia Bhatt who was a part of Zoya’s Gully Boy. So the three favourite actresses of the Akhtars were on board. But now that both Kats and the desi girl have called it quits, it seems something is not right between them.
While the Bollywood professionals will say that Priyanka and Katrina left the movie due to other professional commitments, the silence from Alia, Priyanka, Zoya, and Farhan on Kats birthday did not go down well with Katrina’s fans who believe that all do not seem well between these people. Or else why would these four people simply avoid wishing her on social media?
