A partially decomposed body of man was found at Birighat village near Karlakhman under Gudbhela police station in Boudh district on Friday. 

The body stated to be that of a teacher named Basudev Bhoi was recovered 12 days after he went missing. Deceased Bhoi was a teacher in a school at Udei village under Kantamal police station.

As per reports, Bhoi's marriage was fixed on March 9 and the family members had started their preparation for the social function in full swing.

Bhoi had gone to one of his relative’s house in Bolangir on February 12 and his family alleged that he reportedly went to meet his lover in Gudabhela area but never returned. 

Later after launching a frantic search, his family members lodged a missing report in Kantamal police station. During the course of investigation, police recovered his decomposed body near Karlakhman.

Meanwhile, family members of Bhoi have alleged that he has been murdered over love affair by the relatives of the girl.

Kantamal police have sent the body for post-mortem and further investigation is underway.
