Sitamarhi: The Bihar labour department has rescued eight child labourers and arrested three traffickers from a bus stand near the district headquarters, an official said today.
 
Acting on a tip off, the police and labour officials rescued the eight child labourers from the bus stand last evening when they were on way to station to board a train for Ludhiana, the Labour Superintendent Niraj Nayan said.
 
The traffickers, identified as Md. Shamsuddin, Md. Maqsood and Mahendra Kumar, were arrested and charged with relevant provisions of the law before being sent to jail, he said.
 
The rescued children have been kept in a remand home, Nayan said.
