Bulandshahar (UP):  A case has been filed against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a local court for his alleged "offensive comments" about people of UP at a rally in Phulpur.

BJP youth wing leader Bhavtosh Gurjar filed the case in the CJM court, seeking action against Gandhi under IPC section 200 (attempt to use as true any such declaration, knowing the same to be false).
The court directed Gurjar to file evidence by November 21.

Gandhi, while kicking off Congress` election campaign in UP on November 14 had said, "People of UP are appreciated for their hard work wherever they go in search of job...How long will you beg in Maharashtra for work ?, How long will you work as labourer in Punjab?"
