CRPF jawan injured in gun-fight with Maoists

The rebels opened gunfire when they spotted the CRPF and the district police personnel at the place, situated five km from Tundi police station and an encounter ensued, deputy SP R N Sharma said.

The security forces had gone to the place early in the morning after getting a tip-off that the Maoists had assembled there, he added. The injured jawan was admitted to a hospital, he said.
