Ralegan Siddhi (Maharashtra): Social activist Anna Hazare, whose `maun vrat` (vow of silence) entered the second day today, is communicating with visitors by writing on a notepad. "Anna is communicating by writing a few words or lines on notepad," his associate Datta Awari told PTI here.

"Queried about the future course of action, Hazare wrote continue the agitation", he said. If felt tired or preoccupied with something, Hazare, who is sitting under a banyan tree near the Padmavati temple here, just folds his hands and waives at the crowd, he said.

According to his associates, Hazare had been continuously interacting with people after ending his 12-day fast for Lokpal in Delhi in August and this has put him under strain. "So he took a vow of silence for peace of soul," one of his close aides had said.

The vow comes close on the heels of the recent assault by suspected Ram Sene activists on a key `Team Anna` member advocate Prashant Bhushan, who spoke in favour of plebiscite in Kashmir. Hazare distanced himself from Bhushan`s statement, saying he did not agree with it.
