Film regulators in America gave an R-rating to the horror movie, which means viewers under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult, reported Contactmusic.
The movie shows Craig and Weisz play a couple living in a haunted property and has been given this rating because of some violent scenes.
"They gave us a list of several things in the movie that they thought should be cut. We`re going to work with them together to ensure that we receive a Pg-13," said Greg Mielcarz, Executive Vice President of marketing.
Officials are trying their best to make the changes as soon as possible so that it can be released without a restrictive age rating in the US.
The film is set for release in September 11.
