Anushka Sharma lately has been in the news more for her pictures with hubby Virat Kohli rather than her new movies. She is yet to sign a project after the release of her flop film “Zero” with Shah Rukh Khan. But that does not mean that the “Sultan” actress is losing in any way on the money front. Rather she has been earning a decent chunk through her production ventures to ensure that cash continues to roll on.
But what surprised many was her inclusion in Fortune’s most powerful women in India, 2019 list from Bollywood. Anushka is the only Bollywood actress to make it to this list and is also the youngest to be included in the list.
Anushka Beats The Top Actresses
According to reports, the “Pari” actress was named among the list of powerful women as she earned Rs.40 crore through her Clean Slate Films production house. Movies like “Phillauri,” “Pari,” and “NH 10” and several other web series and shows have helped her earn such a huge amount which probably would not have been possible if she had focused only on doing movies.
She is ranked 39th on the list, just after the famous TV and Film Mogul Ekta Kapoor. According to reports, the women in the list are selected based on their business acumen and social and cultural influence. In 2018, as an actress, Anushka tried a variety of movies from different genres including “Sui Dhaaga: Made In India,” “Pari,” and “Zero.”
The actress has stayed away from films since the past few months and is spending more time with her husband Virat Kohli traveling to West Indies and enjoying her free days. She is instead focusing on producing shows for digital platforms. The “Harry Meets Sejal” actress was also approached for the remake of “Satte Pe Satta” but nothing has materialized.
