BJP is preparing for a massive Yuva Samabesh in Jharsuguda, Odisha, on September 27, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi likely to attend. Aimed at energising youth and boosting party outreach, the national-level event may feature a major announcement. State BJP chief Manmohan Samal informed that final details are expected soon, as preparations continue at a rapid pace.

The state unit of Bharatiya Janata Paty (BJP) is gearing up for a major youth congregation (a national-level Yuva Samabesh) on September 27 in Jharsuguda town, with strong possibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the mega event, sources said on Sunday.

State party President Manmohan Samal informed that final confirmations should come by tonight.

BJP leaders say there is not much time left. The event is being prepared on a war footing, they claim. It is expected that this will be a nationwide programme officially to be launched in Odisha by the Prime Minister.

According to party sources, PM Modi may make a significant announcement directed at the youth during the event. BJP believes that this congregation will help boost the party’s visibility and momentum in the region as they roll out their outreach efforts under Seva Paksha and other programmes.

Speaking to mediapersons in Jharsuguda, BJP President Samal stated, “The Yuva Samabesh scheduled for September 27 and to be launched by the PM in Jharsuguda, will be an all-India event. Final decisions in this regard are expected by tonight.”

“Since we don’t have ample of time, the preparations are underway on a war footing. On the occasion of Yuva Samabesh, the PM is expected to make a big announcement for youths. The announcements may be of a confidence-building nature,” President Samal said.

Hundreds of youth from different parts of the country will take part in the event. Youth, constituting around 72 percent of the country’s population, will be at the centrestage. The PM is keen to conduct the programme in Odisha, the BJP chief expressed.
