Youth killed in bomb attack in Aska
Aska: A youth was killed after two unidentified miscreants hurled bombs and fired at him in Aska of Ganjam district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Susant Jena of Humuki village under Aska police limits.
According to sources, the incident occurred near Humuki School when Susant was returning home from market when two miscreants came and hurled bombs and then fired at him.
Critically injured, Susant was rescued by the local villagers and rushed to Aska hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
Though the exact reason behind the attack on the two youths is not known, past enmity is suspected to be the cause.
Meanwhile, local police have launched a probe into the matter.
“Previous enmity is suspected to be the reason behind the killing. A case has been registered in this connection and search is on to nab the absconding. Further investigation is on,” said a police official.
