Tusker electrocuted in Hindol range

Dhenkanal: A tusker was found electrocuted to death at Giridhar Prasad within Hindol forest range on Monday.

According to sources, the tusker came in contact with a live electric wire at a mango garden near a local high school last night.

The tusker came in contact with a live electric wire passing over the tree while it was trying to fetch branches and leaves from a mango tree, the sources added.

Forest department officials are investigating the matter.
